N.A.R.M. Update
We will be having a meeting in the next two weeks to discuss and plan our rally for the Federal Recognition of the tribes of Virginia. How is it that the people who helped at Jamestown and kept the IMMIGRANTS alive still have not been recognized by the US government? Ancestry. Paperwork. Some blame other tribes. We do know one thing though. The public is less than aware of the fact that Pocahontas’* own people are not recognized by the US.

The 1969 occupation of Alcatraz Island by Native Americans took place for an entire year, despite the government turning off the telephones, water and electricity, but where are the photos from this? I’ve been rather disappointed with the small selection of images I’ve found. The above photo is by lIka Hartmann.
